Full Version: New Mode : Combination or Combo Mode (New way(s) to play with different plague)

Im writing this to introduce a new mode called Combination or simply Combo mode.

This is the mode where you play a combined pathogen type just like speed run where you compete to kill world in the shortest time or scenarios involving to play within the change or as a model of real life disease Smile

This is how this new mode is going to work:
You combine either 2 or 3 or even all the pathogen type and then you play it like you control the plague but with combined features of different plague type.

Two or Three plague type combined idea for combo mode
Example of 2 combined pathogen type is Nano-Weapon (Nano Virus + Bio Weapon)
This is where the people starts cure immediately and your pathogen becomes lethal at the same time.

Another is Bio-Virus (Bio Weapon + Virus)
This is where the pathogen becomes unstable and increases lethality over time.

A good example of 3 combined pathogen is Bio-Viro-Fungus (Bio Weapon + Virus + Fungus)
This is where the difficulty begins where the pathogen is slowed down with more random mutations and increased lethality over the time.

The abilities bar for each pathogen can be adjusted if too much abilities can be unlocked from the 2 pathogens like (Fungi Weapon which is Fungus + Bio Weapon)
This can be the fungus abilities part that surrounds like a larger ring and bio weapon abilities in the centre of that ring whereas least unlock-able abilities like Bactro-Virus (Bacteria + Virus) is fine with viral instability and Bacterial resistance that can be added together.

Just to make it more fun, make Bacteria + pathogen type of disease less resistant to temperatures and that they will take long to infect unless they evolve bacterial resistant abilities.

Minor Combo Plagues can include (names can be changed by the creator to a better one if he wants):
> Bactro-Virus (Bacteria + Virus)
> Bactro-Fungi (Bacteria + Fungus)
> Bacteron (Bacteria + Prion)
> Barasite (Bacteria + Parasite)
> Nacto-Virus (Bacteria + Nano Virus)
> Bactro-Weapon (Bacteria + Bio Weapon)
> Viral-Fungi (Virus + Fungus)
> Viron (Virus + Prion)
> Virosite (Virus + Parasite)
> Viro-Weapon (Virus + Bio Weapon)
> Fungusite (Fungus + Parasite)
> Fungon (Fungus + Prion)
> Fungo-Virus (Fungus + Nano Virus)
> Fungo-Weapon (Fungus + Bio Weapon)
..... and so on (not all have to be made but you can at least put like 8 interesting ones that will unlock the master pathogen once they are completed in mega-brutal mode or brutal)
If to make all the minor 2 pathogen combo, there can be only 21 different combos.

Also Finishing all of these minor combos can unlock the master pathogen

Master Pathogen mode Idea for combo mode
If possible, you can make a pathogen type and you can guess what features it has:
All normal plague traits put together (Bacteria + Virus + Fungus + Parasite + Prion + Nano Virus + Bio Weapon) So it will be a master difficulty getting this pathogen to its fullest functional even at normal mode (I guess). "Very weak at first, Very Strong at the end"
This plague will be quite low in resistance to climate (bacteria), have high mutation chance (virus), very slow to spread (fungus), a high starting severity or reduced chance of getting more DNA (parasite), react very slow to evolution (prion), cure starts immediately (nano virus) and lethalty is increased over time (Bio weapon)
I think it will take a lot of work to make the pathogen traits especially the abilities part where the abilities need to be combined to adapt to the master pathogen.

Suggestion for Ability adjustment for the master pathogen
I think that the abilities for the master pathogen should look like the way the symptom traits are when all unlocked with the ultimate bio-weapon ability "Unlock Annihiliate Gene" as the last trait in the 'center' of the web. There could be 5 legs (3 on top and 2 on bottom so not to interfere with genetic reshuffles) of the 'web' trait for the abilities bar. 1st leg can contain Bacteria Resilience 1-3, 2nd leg can contain Viral Instability 1-3, 3rd leg can contain Spore eruptions 1-2 then Spore Hardening, 4th leg can contain Neural Atrophy1-3 and the last leg can contain Deactivated modified genes 1-3. Unlocking all those abilities will unlock the Annihiliate Gene which can unleash high lethality like in Bio Weapon.

Master Pathogen Features
A luck based plague due to high mutation chance and more things to focus on so it may have a moderately high difficulty even at normal difficulty.

Advantages:

> Able to start killing hosts fast with its final ability (Annihiliate Gene) which can be costly

> Access to more abilities (more options)

Disadvantages:

> Cure starts immediately and will continue until around 90% of the world is dead.

> Very slow to react to new evolutions (Longer delay for a newly purchased trait to take effect).

> Lethality will also increase too early which results in possible of killing of more hosts before the plague can spread to other people unless Deactivated Modified Genes are evolved.

> Very low starting infectivity (due to difficulty travelling to far places and low climate resistance) so it will take like 2 months for the plague to infect its 2nd host assuming you don't evolve anything and patient zero is in China.

> Reduced chances of getting more DNA (can be added if the creator wants)

> Starts at a severity points:6 which is enough to get detected by doctors that'll speed up cure unless you evolve Drug Immunity (after evolving Drug resistance 1-2)

Please post some feedback and support my idea for Plague Inc. where you play as a pathogen that has features of different plague types along with the master plague idea Smile

LOL a high starting severity is HARD?? Well I evolve Skin Lesions every time when there is only 1000 infected just in order to get more DNA from red bubbles. Don't like your strategy of hiding your plague...

And typically Virus is easier than everything else except the Neurax Worm... Just because its high chance of mutation we can save a lot of DNA points. Just make skin lesions and make it evolve necrosis itself. Don't worry about islands, do cold 2 water 2 and it would get on Greenland pretty fast.

You seem to only focus on the virus bit and the severity.
Read the whole thing b4 you comment that it would be easy.

The master plague would seem challenging because of many possible negatives than positive.

Also, this plague is not only meant for high difficulty. It is like a new challenge to players.

Low resistance to climates? well I always evolve resistance abilities fast enough... and I start in China.
High chance of mutation? Ya that's what I want, hooray
Low sea/air rate? Nothing is hard with spores, even if there are some tough islands...
Less DNA? How do you feel about popping red bubbles from spores you got and double yellow bubbles?
Slow effect of evolution? For those who aren't intending to hide your plague from scientists, just a piece of cake, although it may affect days. However with fast mutation a steady lethality increase over time is guarenteed.
Cure research at start? Well, with spores you already don't want to care about sea ports being closed. Now you don't even want to care about additional cure research if you get too high severity. Better than normal.
Steady lethality increase? See the effect of Prion. This is just the opposite of it and it can make the plague still have a good severity when the infection is almost done.

I don't like that attitude of yours making it seem the easiest it can be.
As mentioned I want positive feedback and suggestions, not a teaser making things which seem like a easy advantage.
I've tried being polite here and yet you still do this.
I'm here to give in a suggestion of a new mode which is meant for a new challenge, not meant to make a very difficult plague that would be almost impossible to win.
There are difficulty selections for a reason (Casual to Mega Brutal)
Plus stop making it seem easy (Talk or speak is cheap)

Really like this idea - lots of detail which is great! This would work well almost as a 'end-game' mode I think - a real test after experiencing all the bits of the other diseases in the individual disease types Smile
