Idea:
Modify maps if possible for the scenarios ? ! ?
Example:
- Ice Age added by some snow on the countries which his(her,its) past in cold climate
- Volacanic Ash to make a grey depiction on all the card ( grey cloud)
- Global Warming to put more desert (sand) and to reduce a little the snow on Greenland
I think that a small work on the cards of the scenarios can allow not to grow bored of the map is the same while the planet is sensible different.

I think this is a good idea, but is difficult now

It is not difficult, they're graphical effects.
Greenland should actually be green then, and not white, or just partially.
