The one that looks like a virus might be a future scenario (AIDS maybe? Please be AIDS). Image Source The eye seems to be an unused Symptom. I don't know. Image There is another one (something I found while browsing): A Neurax worm bubble. I think it appears when a certain country worships the worm using Transcendence. Image |

I'm surprised that no one has pointed out the easter egg references to other games that Ndemic put in. The "runner", "tank", and "spitter" achievements are referencing the L4D series. In addition, the Z Com project that starts once you begin raising zombies with the Necroa Virus is a play off of the "Xcom Project", from XCom: Enemy Unknown and Xcom: Enemy Within. I'm sure there are more and that I just haven't taken the time to connect the mental dots yet.
