 Multiplayer VS Idea
Have you considered how great VS multiplayer where one person plays as a researcher would be? The researcher can unlock upgrades to their lab which give them hints as to what symptoms and abilities the virus player has chosen. They then have another selection screen where they try to guess the symptoms or abilities the other player has chosen, once they have guessed enough and have the right equipment to deal with the symptoms and abilities they can work on a cure.
