Fungus on brutal
Hello,

I really love this game. I can't seem to beat the fungus on brutal without modifying the DNA. I was wondering if someone could give me a tutorial or a guide. Thanks Smile

Thank you. He uses "patho-stasis" which I don't have though because I don't have the full version.

RE: Fungus on brutal
I'll asume that you're playing in the mobile and free version.

Starts in USA.

Evolve 2 times the fungus ability.

Evolve Air and Water I, and Air II.

Evolve Cold and Drugs Resistance 1.

Wait, and keep devolving the symptoms that will mutate.

When the fungus infect the world, just evolve the symptoms to kill em all... on brutal, it works.

Good luck with that, and sorry for my bad english.

I found Fungus really easy to beat on brutal:

Choose the skill that allows you to decrease mutations. The rest doesn't really matter. I start in a hot dry country with seaport and airport, usually south africa.

Get both Air 2, Water 2, then the 5th transmission that becomes available
Get both Cold 2, Heat 2, then the 5th ability that becomes available
Get Drug Resistance 1

The order of these doesn't matter that much, but I usually go:
water->cold->air->drug->water->cold->air->hot->hot->5th ability->5th transmission

Now while you wait for all but 2 countries to be infected, make sure research doesnt start by devolving only as much as you need to. then use your spore ability twice to get the last 2 countries.

When the whole world is infected or shortly before it is, just get a fatal symptom, wait for the research and deaths to start, slow down research with insomnia and that ability and the win is yours.

Keep at it - Fungus is a tricky one to get your head around especially after Bacteria and Virus, some of the guides in this thread are really useful (but I'll let you figure out exactly which ones Tongue)
