We (Portuguese's) are won the war against Spain in 1385 so its a shame see that.

That is not an error, this is part of a gamedesign decision. It's impossible to implement every country. On the other hand they could've just named it "iberian peninsula" but then no one (americans) would know what countries these are. Same with Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.
