Don't care about Phillipines, there's sea route from China to there. Best way is NOT to get Extremophile, instead choose the one that increases the infectivity in your starting country(Urbophile for China). HOWEVER if you country is not arid, humid, urban or rural(for example, hot and poor), use Extremophile would be better.

0.2 for extremophile means you get an effect of 4 times more effective by evolving Rodent 1, Livestock 1, Air 1, or Water 1, each increasing by 0.8(80%)
