Shadow Plague Mega Brutal - Cure Rate Impossibly fast

I am playing the Shadow Plague scenario on mega brutal.

I started in Greenland killed everyone, went to Iceland same, evolved all the rage stuff and killed all the Templars. I killed all of Australia, NZ NG Caribbean, Canada, Zimbabwe and Norway. I ended up with 9 lairs and 1536 DNA to next one.

Over 1200 DNA on hand.

Plenty of points to win right? NOPE!

I evolve all the transmission except Zoonotic Shift. I add all the vampire stuff for increasing plague to spread and add symptoms including those which are supposed to make it harder to cure. I continue and before any of the labs appear the cure hits 20% I move about to USA, S-Am, Africa Russia, Japan, Philippines spreading the plague but in the mean time and BEFORE any labs have even been made the cure hits 100%.
And the plague is not spreading as it should. It only does maybe 40% of everyone with a lot of people not infected. This seems wrong since the air born, water born, and such should be making the whole planet infected like wild fire.

I managed to win ONCE and I recorded it. I had Zoonitic on for that one.

I tried to the same things I did again and nope the game just laughs at me and cure
hits 100%.

I went to evolving ALL the symptoms in one go including the slaves. No dice same thing happens cure is exponential.

The cure rate even with drug resistance and ALL the symptoms which are hard to cure is stupid fast.

That does sound odd. Unfortunately whatever's causing it could be slightly different depending on which platform you're on. Could you please fill out this form and paste this description into it so we can troubleshoot with your properly?

I started over. This time wiped out over 20% of the research ability. Before evolving symptoms I killed all of canada, greenland, iceland, central europe, austrailia, new zealand, and new guinea. I evolved all of the transmission options except zoonotic shift, all of the non-lethal symptoms, all of the vampire transmission routes and hot and cold resistance. I did not add antibiotic resistance, but it hardly matters. I added it which took off 5% and then promptly returned to previous level and cured. The cure rate still goes up too fast even adding all the "harder to cure" symptoms. It quickly hits 20% then 75% and done. It fails to spread across the closed boarders no matter I have the aerocyte gene which alone with airborn should still make it spread like wildfire. Ironically in Africa is where it's failing to take hold. Never mind they have the poorest nations and should be wiped out faster not slower. Thing is too the cure is progressing to 20% BEFORE the labs are created to be destroyed and destroying the labs doesn't seem to seriously affect or even reduce the cure rate.

Either way, this is Steam version on PC. I made the ticket yesterday and added a link to the save game files in a zip.

I guess I'm going to let it kill USA next. Let it go for 8 hrs over night if I need to.
