While I play virus mode I add a genetic code called Ionised Helix which gives bonus DNA while devolving. But it doesn’t work in-game. I still have to pay DNAs while devolving.

Thanks for getting in touch. Ionised Helix works differently depending on the type of plauge you play it with. For example, without genes bacteria will refund you DNA when you devolve, so Ionised Helix makes that refund bigger, while virus will cost you DNA, so Ionised Helix stops the cost from increasing the more you refund. Apologies for any confusion!
